Brian Steele Obituary, Death –We are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of Brian Edward Steele, who was a much-loved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to a great many people. On April 21, 2023, at the age of 55, Brian passed away while he was being comforted by both his wife and boys. It was in Honolulu, Hawaii, on June 5, 1967, that Ronald and Naomi Steele welcomed their son Brian into the world. Ronald Steele was serving in the United States Navy at the time.
He spent the better part of his childhood in Connecticut before moving to Wisconsin with his family, which is where his parents and siblings had always lived. After receiving his diploma from Stoughton High School in 1985, Brian enrolled in college for a year before coming to the honorable conclusion that he should join the Navy. He received his degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Nuclear Power School in Orlando, Florida, and then spent several years working as a Nuclear Engineer on a submarine. The severe vehicle accident that Brian was in, which was caused by an intoxicated driver.
left him with injuries that rendered him unable to continue his career in the navy. Colleen, a Jersey native who was studying at Immaculata University in Pennsylvania, was Brian’s future wife when they first crossed paths during his final few months of service in the Navy. They tied the knot a year after she had her diploma from college, and they started their life together in Wisconsin. They have spent the last 20 years of their lives in Washington State, where they have worked and raised their two kids, Cullen and Aidan. Brian worked hard for OSI Systems throughout his entire 22-year tenure there. Up until the time of his passing, Brian was a man of deep faith who had been a proud member of the Knights of Columbus since he joined in 2005. He had served as their Senior Systems Administrator for the majority of those years. Between 2008 and 2009, he held the position of Grand Knight.
