Briant Atkins Obituary, Prince William Professional Firefighters Has Passed Away

Briant Atkins Obituary, Death –Regarding the loss of Officer/Coordinator Briant Atkins, on behalf of everyone here at PWC Hazmat, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to you all. It won’t be the same without him. The Atlanta Fire Department was in a state of stunned amazement after learning of the death of Captain Briant Atkins.

When the department found out that Atkins had passed away, they were shocked because he had resigned from the agency in 2013 after having served there for more than three decades. He was a pioneer in this field and a leader in the HAZMAT response for the Arlington Fire Department and the Northern Virginia region. He was an advocate for the health and safety of first responders and he led the way in this sector. Everyone will express their sorrow for his

departure in their own particular way. Brother Atkins served with the Alexandria Firefighters, Inc., IAFF Local 2141 for many years until retiring. Brother Atkins performed this duty before to assuming his present responsibilities as the Hazmat coordinator for PWC. As a result of his work in this capacity, the City of Alexandria benefited from his contributions. Many individuals are going to be left in a state of depression as a result of Brother Atkins’s demise. #Local2598
