Brice Crippen Obituary, Death – The Weatherford ISD community is filled with profound sadness as we mourn the loss of Brice Crippen, a cherished member of our family. Mr. Crippen, who served as the Head Golf Coach and Government/Economics teacher at Weatherford High School, passed away yesterday after bravely battling cancer. In 2015, Mr. Crippen joined the Weatherford ISD family, bringing with him a heart full of kindness and a positive attitude that touched the lives of not only our staff but also numerous students and their families. His dedication to his students was unwavering, and he inspired them to reach for greatness both inside and outside the classroom.
Under Mr. Crippen’s exceptional leadership, our students thrived both academically and athletically. As the Head Golf Coach, he nurtured and guided our young golfers, instilling in them a passion for the sport and a commitment to excellence. His relentless drive and determination inspired his teams to achieve remarkable success. This past spring, the WHS girls golf team, under Mr. Crippen’s guidance, emerged victorious, capturing the District Championship and advancing to the Regional Competition. The boys golf team also excelled, securing an impressive second-place finish at District and progressing to the Regional level.
These achievements stand as a testament to Mr. Crippen’s exceptional coaching skills and his ability to inspire his athletes to perform at their best. Beyond the golf course, Mr. Crippen’s impact was felt in the classroom as well. His passion for teaching Government and Economics was evident in his engaging lessons and his ability to connect with his students. He fostered an environment of growth and intellectual curiosity, empowering his students to think critically and develop a deeper understanding of the subjects he taught.
