Carrie Ahrens Obituary, Death – Ahrens, who had lived at the Life Care Center of Wichita and was 92 years old at the time of his death, has gone away. She was born in Norwich, Kansas, on December 4th, and her birthday is December 4th. Ruth earned her high school certificate from the Wichita High School North campus. In October of 1970,
her husband, Leo R. Helsel, Sr., passed away, and she became a widow as a result. They had been married for a considerable amount of time. She was a dedicated wife and mother who also worked in a range of professions in the retail business and office settings. Her children were the center of her life.
She attended a number of different churches, all of which she was actively involved in, and she was a member of all of them. She is survived by her sons, Leo R. Helsel, Jr. (Linda), and Robert O. Helsel (Kris), as well as her daughter, Susan Lee Ahrens. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Andrea Helsel Today, Jeremy Helsel (Brooke), Darin Helsel, Brandon Ahrens (Dawn), Carrie Ahrens, and Sarah Ahrens; great-grand
Great-grandkids, Tyler Helsel, MacKenzie Helsel, Dylan Ahrens, Lyndsey Ahrens, and Kayla Ahrens. Visitation with the family will start at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, and the funeral ceremony will get underway at 10:00 a.m. on that same day. Both the viewing and the funeral service will be held at the Downing Lahey Mortuary East, and the burial will be held at the Lakeview Cemetery.
