Elizabeth Huffaker Obituary, Lifetime Native Of Creve Coeur, MI, Has Passed Away

Elizabeth Huffaker Obituary, Death – Elizabeth Huffaker was born 1945 in Topeka. After battling kidney cancer, she died quietly in St. Louis on November 11, 2023, surrounded by family. Ruby and Jacob Weiter raised Elizabeth in Topeka. George, John, and Rosemary, her cherished sister, were her siblings.

After graduating from Hayden High School in Topeka, she earned a BA in business administration from Washburn University. This is when she met William, her future husband. They married in Topeka’s Annunciation Catholic Church in 1967. Elizabeth earned her bachelor of nursing from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Elizabeth served as president of the St. Louis and Missouri State Medical Alliances. The St. Louis Wednesday Club was also fun for her. She nursed at Barnes. Their love of scuba diving took them to strange spots around the world. Their hiking passion brought them across America. She read widely and wrote articles. Playing bridge was her passion.

She loved her three children, Stephanie Tornberg, Jennifer Kuperman, and William Huffaker. Elizabeth was very proud of her four grandchildren, Nicholas, Megan, Alexandra, and Catherine. She is also survived by her adored sister-in-law Carol Dykes and her brothers George and Dr. John Weiter.

Ortmann-Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, will host visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on November 17. On November 18, 2023, St. Anselm Catholic Church at 530 S.
