Frank Bullis Obituary, Death – After a brief bout with sickness, Grand Isle resident Frank E. Bullis, age 91, died away in comfort on July 4, 2023 at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Frank A. Bullis was the first and only child to be born to Edward A. Bullis and Helen Ladd Bullis on April 20, 1932. He served in the United States Army for two years, but otherwise devoted his whole life to farming dairy cows on Savage View Farm on Grand Isle. After graduating from
Milton High School in 1950 and attending the University of Vermont, Frank was conscripted into the Army in 1952 and sent to Kansas and subsequently Chicago, Illinois. He served in both of these locations. Frank got married to Nancy Manley on June 26, 1954, when he was on leave in Milton, Vermont. After their wedding, the couple moved to Chicago, where they remained until Frank was released in December of that same year. Frank and Nancy moved their family to
Grand Isle, where they worked the family farm while raising their four children. During the time that Frank was farming, he was a sales representative and service technician for Surge milking equipment. During his retirement years, he was always willing to offer guidance and recommendations to the younger members of his farming family at Savage View. In the year 2021, Frank gained recognition.
