Grace Contreras Car Accident, EL Dorado Hills CA: Grace Contreras and her daughters Susanna and Rosalie were walking on a sidewalk when they were struck by a car on July 9. Grace tragically passed away at the scene, and the kids remain in serious condition at the UC Davis Medical Center. The Contreras family has our deepest sympathies during this trying time, and we hope to be of any assistance we can.
David has requested for prayers for the family’s speedy recovery, and in particular for the reduction of swelling in their two adorable daughters’ brains. Our hearts are breaking, and there are no adequate words to describe the depth of our sorrow. Please pray for this wonderful family as they work through the shock and sorrow they are experiencing.
We pause to pray, lament, and cry out to God for His ample grace and healing, and we weep with those who weep and mourn with those who mourn. They still have a long way to go, so your prayers and donations are especially appreciated at this time. Because of their selfless love and investment in many others, the Contreras are treasured members of their church family. This page is a concrete expression of our love and encouragement for them.
Please consider helping the Contreras financially by giving to their GoFundMe campaign if you are able and feel led to do so by God. Donations of any amount will be put to good use in aiding their rehabilitation. Your thoughtfulness toward the Contreras family is much appreciated. While we consult with the family to determine the best approach to meet their needs, if you have ideas for other ways to help, please send them to help in the following ways.
Someone affiliated with a nearby supermarket has kindly offered to help out with grocery shopping. We are keeping a running tally of all the comments and offers so that we can get back to everyone as soon as the family announces the specifics of what they need. You can add your name to the list by sending an email. Through prayer vigils held in and around Edh and Sacramento yesterday night, the Gospel was preached courageously and will continue to go forth—for His Glory.
