Jack’s adventurous spirit led him to serve his country proudly in the United States Navy. After his service, Jack settled in Piscataway for many years before making Columbus his home in 2004. His career as an electrician at New Brunswick Scientific in Edison showcased his dedication and skill. Jack retired in 1998, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.

Jack Salvatore Cuccia, a beloved member of the Columbus community, passed away on November 2nd, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. His life was marked by service, love, and dedication to his family, country, and community.  Jack’s zest for life extended beyond his professional endeavors. He found joy in simple pleasures like playing softball, bowling, and fishing. His love for music and dance illuminated every room he entered, and his involvement in church activities reflected his deep faith.

He was a devoted member of the American Legion Post #0039, where he forged lifelong friendships. However, Jack’s greatest passion was his family.

He treasured every moment spent with his loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever.  Jack Salvatore Cuccia is preceded in death by his wives, Rosalie Giammanco Cuccia and Ella Mae Cuccia, his son James Marecki, and seven siblings. He is survived by his children Rosalie, Peggy, and Tom, along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, and numerous relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on November 6th, followed by a funeral mass on November 7th at Our Lady of Fatima Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice and Stand Up To Cancer. As we bid farewell to Jack, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life marked by love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. Though he may be gone, his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Rest in peace, Jack Salvatore Cuccia. You will be dearly missed.
