Jack Schulman Obituary, Death – I’d want to introduce myself; my name is Suzanne, and I’ve known Shirley for more than 15 years as a great friend. We have been on many journeys together, helping one another along the way on each of those journeys. When her beloved husband Mike passed away, we had numerous chats about her love for him, the plans they had for the future, their grandchildren, and their aspirations to travel. In the early 1980s, Mike entered
Shriley’s life, and the two of them rapidly built a very close connection after meeting one other. This friendship eventually blossomed into love, and the two decided they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Shirley was a single mother with two grown kids and one daughter who was still living at home when she married. Without any hesitation in his heart, Mike decided to take on the roles of husband and parent. It was inevitable that he would join
them. He was there for her through thick and thin, and he was Shriley’s rock when the sad event that took the life of her youngest daughter occurred. They couldn’t function without one another, and it was a lovely thing.
Mike became ill a year ago, and despite their best efforts, they were unable to bring him back home. It just wasn’t meant to be. In July of 2022, Mike went away, and what was left behind was my friend Shirley, who was attempting to negotiate loss and grief for a second time.
