James Brewer Obituary, Death – The Longview Independent School District has stated that James Brewer, the principal of Longview High School, has passed away. Brewer, who was 65 years old, passed away suddenly Monday evening after suffering an unexpected cardiac incident. According to a statement released by the district, his sudden passing has caused the entire Lobo community to be in a state of shock and sadness. According to Dr. James Wilcox, who serves as the superintendent of the Longview Independent School District (LISD), “the legacy of Mr. James Brewer will forever remain a guiding light at LISD.

James is going to be remembered as an exceptional educator, a compassionate leader, and a treasured member of our community. Throughout his incredible career, he left an indelible impression on the lives of everyone he met, and their memories will keep his spirit alive. During this trying time, he expressed his hope that the Brewer family would feel the support of our thoughts and prayers. He held the position of Superintendent of the DeKalb Independent School District for a decade.
