Laurence Griffin Obituary, Death – We were left with a heavy heart and a feeling of loss when we learned that Laurence (Larry) Griffin, our Recreation and Park Commissioner, had left us. He had been with us for a long time. He will be sorely missed by everyone. He has been a member of our group for a considerable amount of time now. Everyone will experience loss in their own special way when he passes away. He has been a member of our organization for a significant amount of time, and we are happy to have him here.
Larry committed every waking moment of his life to furthering the cause of raising the residents of San Francisco to a larger degree in terms of the general quality of life they might enjoy. This was his driving motivation in life. This was accomplished by virtue of the fact that he worked in the public sector and was actively involved in a diverse range of labor groups. It would not have been possible without his assistance. The choices that he made throughout his whole life had a significant impact, if not a completely determining one, on the results that he achieved in a wide variety of areas and disciplines of study.
This was the case whether or not those choices were completely decisive. He worked in the same industry his entire adult life, never diversifying into other professions or getting competent in any other fields; instead, he remained focused on perfecting his art inside the confines of a single arena. He spent his entire adult life working in the same industry. He never tried his hand at any other kinds of work and didn’t get knowledgeable in any other kinds of domains. He never became an expert in any other fields or fields of expertise over the course of his career. He only ever worked in the one field.
