Peggy Haynes Obituary, Death – A great woman who was loved by many for her roles as a mother, grandmother, and friend has passed away… Peggy Lee Jones Haynes, a strong cancer fighter who lived in the Oak Hill Community, left this world on July 8, 2023 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after passing away. Peggy Lee Jones Haynes had been battling the disease for a long time. On November 13th, 1951, she was born to Somerset residents Willard David Jones and Willa Dean Tucker Jones. Both of her parents were named Jones.

Her mother and father had both passed away at this point. She was the epitome of love, and her many interests, which included her family, flowers, and needlework, made her stand out. Peggy’s husband, Clarence Austin “Pup” Haynes, whom she wed on March 5, 1971, and her very cherished daughter Nancy Phelps both passed away before she did. Peggy married Clarence Austin “Pup” Haynes on March 5, 1971. In addition to her own passing, Peggy was predeceased by both of her parents. Peggy is survived by her brother, Johnathan David Jones (and his wife Connie), her two sons.

Eddie Haynes and Greg Haynes, her six grandsons, Riley, Raymond, Robert Baily, Elijah, and Jonathan Haynes, and a large group of cherished friends, relatives, and acquaintances. On the Monday, July 10, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, there will be a visitation for Mrs. Haynes at the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be performed in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home on the afternoon of Monday, July 10, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon, and Bro. Eddie West will officiate the ceremony.
