Peggy McMullen Obituary, Death – On July 2, 2023, Peggy McMullen died away, and it is with heavy hearts that we share the news with everyone. We will miss her dearly. She died away peacefully in the familiar surroundings of her own house while she was sleeping. On July 20, 1939, she came into the world in Denver, Colorado, to parents who went by the names Harwell and Marion Johnson. She graduated from West High School in 1957 and was awarded her diploma. Peggy and Doran R. McMullen, popularly known as Bob, exchanged vows and became husband and wife on February 13, 1960.
They had been married for a total of 28 years when he passed away in 1988. Their marriage had lasted the entire time. Peggy had a love for any and all sports, and she took great pleasure in following the athletic achievements of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Peggy also had a love for travel and adventure. The Avalanche, the Broncos, the Rockies, and the Nuggets were some of her all-time favorite sports teams. Her principal mode of athletic competition was in the sport of bowling.
She was successful in pursuing this goal throughout the ten years that she and Bob were the proprietors of their own bowling center in La Junta, Colorado. Bob was her business partner. Additionally, she was employed by the Greater Denver USBC (Bowling Association), which enabled her to maintain her passion of bowling even after she was no longer able to compete in the sport. This was made possible by the fact that she was able to continue her love of bowling when she was no longer able to compete.
Peggy’s parents, Hartwell and Marion Johnson, as well as her brother, Robert (Snoopy) Johnson (Helen Johnson), and her husband, Doran McMullen (Bob), all died before she did. Peggy’s parents were Hartwell and Marion Johnson. Her brother was Robert (Snoopy) Johnson (Helen Johnson). Debbie McMullen and Robert McMullen (Andrea McMullen) are the only members of her family to have survived her passing. They are both named Andrea McMullen. Her grandchildren are Mandy Villarreal (Tyler Villarreal), Jenni Pearce (Will Pearce), and Ryan McMullen, in that order. There are three great-grandchildren who have been given the names Theodore McMullen, Brady Villarreal, and Ella Villarreal respectively.
