Richard Bamber Obituary, Death – On July 4, 2023, Richard J. Bamber, age 74, of South Windsor, Connecticut, passed away in a calm and serene manner. On March 19, 1949, Richard J. Bamber was brought into the world in Hartford, Connecticut by his late parents, Edward J. Bamber and Adrienne (Moreau) Bamber. Richard spent his childhood in East Hartford, Connecticut, and after graduating from high school, he joined the United States Army and served in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. Following his discharge from the military, he found work with the United States Postal Service. He was a devoted follower of the New York Yankees, Boston Celtics, and New York Giants in addition to being an enthusiastic horseplayer.
His devoted wife Virginia (DelBuono) Bamber, his daughters Sara (Bamber) Janz and husband Scott Janz of Chatham, New Jersey, and Nicole Bamber and Robert Marinaro of New York, New York are among many who continue to cherish his memory. His brother John Bamber, two sisters Carol and Richard Johnston, Patricia and Dennis Hersom, and a number of nieces and nephews are among the people he leaves behind. His cherished grandpets Nugget and Mitzy will feel a void in their lives without him.
On Sunday, July 23, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours that will be held at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, which is located at 419 Buckland Rd, South Windsor, Connecticut 06074.
