Roger Suggs Obituary, Death – We are writing this with heavy hearts and profound grief to inform you of the passing of the Honorable Roger A. Suggs, who served as Property Appraiser in the past. Roger began his employment with the CCPAO in 1990 and held the position of Assistant Property Appraiser until being elected to the position of Property Appraiser in 2009 and remaining in that capacity until his retirement in 2020. Roger was an extremely careful and
conscientious expert who had an exceptional eye for detail and an in-depth knowledge of the evaluation procedure. As a direct consequence of this, several individuals all around the state sought his opinion and guidance. Those who had the opportunity to work closely with him not only benefited from his knowledge and unique point of view, but they also gained an appreciation for the fact that he held himself to a higher standard than the majority of people.
Roger had a sense of fulfillment from being of service to the people of Clay County, and as a result, the CCPAO is in better shape today. The legacy he left behind and the achievements he made will not be quickly forgotten. Our sympathies are with Joni and the rest of the family during this difficult time. Don’t worry, Mr. Suggs, you’ll be just fine.
