Thomas Opalecky Obituary, Thomas Opalecky Has Unexpectedly Passed Away

Thomas Opalecky Obituary, Death – We found out on Saturday that Thomas Opalecky unexpectedly passed away. I called him Tommy and we loved and hated each other in equal measure. We argued like siblings and were so completely stubborn with each other. We couldn’t have been more different, accept for when it came to one thing. Robert He loved Robert like a brother and was an absolutely amazing friend to him. We met Tom in 2003 at Dover AFB in Delaware and they became fast friends. as for him and I, we annoyed each other even then.

He was in our wedding in 2006 and Robert and him always made a point to see one another when they traveled for work. The AF brought us back to Dover AFB and Robert back to Tom in 2019, and they were back to being attached at the hip. He became a fixture in our household and our kids loved him too. He would come to baseball and lacrosse games to cheer for our kiddos. He was the friend that everyone wants in their corner.

The beginning of 2020 was a really tough time for Robert and Tom was there when the kids and I couldn’t be (Covid travel restrictions and living 400 miles away, darn military) and I would never have been able to repay him for that time…but boy did I try… with food Rest well Tommy, thank you for loving Robert and we miss you already. We are praying for your boys and family. If you’re a Veteran in crisis or concerned about one, connect with our caring, qualified Veterans Crisis Line responders for confidential help.
